Wow, where did April go...

Well, it's been a busy month. We've had a few birthdays in the family, so I've been a cake-bakin'. This time I made a prettier cake for MeeMaw (Brady's grandmother) using the same butterfly mold, as well as, cupcakes.

Also, I've been praying about what we're going to do next year. This year I was able to take the year off from teaching to stay home with Bella. However, next year I will be going back to the teaching world. So knowing that, I tutored one day a week at a school in Wills Point for a former principal of mine in order to keep my contacts open. She recently let me know that a teaching position would be opening for next year & offered it to me, if I wanted it. I jumped at the chance, because I had been trying to get on at this school for a few years - but there were never any available positions. I also have several friends (who used to teach @ Terrell with me) who are at this school. The other day, my principal let me know that I got the job!! I'm officially a Wills Point Tiger. I just don't know if it will be for 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade yet. Hopefully, I will know which grade before the end of May.....

As for little miss Bella, we have a few options available for next year's daycare. There is a lady who babysits my nephews who might be able to come to my house to care for Bella. There is also a daycare at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point that has an accredited program & low teacher-child ratio (like 3:1), but they have a waiting list. It's really hard for me to even think about leaving her with anyone right now. So we'll need prayers on making the right choice for this as well.

Somebody get me outta this crib, I'm done taking a nap!!

Precious precious pics. I love it. Birthday cake looks deeeelish! I just love birthdays.
I totally understand about having to 'think about leaving Bella'. Marli was 2 months old, yes 2 months old when I had to leave her with people I didn't even know. It was the hardest thing in the world. Really hard. From then on, Brad had to drop her off. I couldn't.
But....I had to do it. And I really think Marli is a smart, social kid because of it. She's very confident, and very comfortable meeting new people.
It was hard, but bearable. You can do it.
I am thankful that Brad stays home now with Carson...you know?

I'm super impressed with the cake. I'm usually lucky to get the icing spread evenly onto a regular sheet cake. Congrats on your job. I know that must be a hard decision to make for Bella, but yall will figure it out and everything will be fine. I agree with Sara, that kids also need a social life because it helps them relate so much better!
